 This
is a hypersonic wind tunnel of free jet intermittent type. Nozzle exit
diameter is 0.5m.It is arranged into two lines. Mach number range is 5-8
in the first line and 10-12 in the second. There are a plate storage heater
in the first line and a pebble bed in the second. This tunnel is of good
flow field quality wide Reynolds number range, and steady performance
characters. This tunnel can be operated continuously for more than 10
minutes in each run for inconventional tests.
