 BIA
has several arc-heated tunnels from subsonic to hypersonic speeds and
arc heaters covering wide range of pressure, enthalpy and test times.
BIA also has two sets of combustion gas test facilities.
These facilities are mainly used for certification and verification of the vehicle structure properties, thermal protection, ablation, and thermochemical properties as well as thermostructure of vehicle componemts, research on the particles erosion effects on vehicle characteristics, research on the physicochemical properties of reentry bodies, aerooptical test, etc. |
